Storage of Boat Trailers

The Village Hall committee have agreed that the far end of the car park be roped off and designated as a storage area for boat trailers as there is clearly no room for them down on the quay. Indeed, as I write on a cool and dull Thursday evening, committee members and helpers are busy clearing away the weeds and erecting the marker posts that will delineate the trailer park area.

Trailers must be registered with the VH committee – and a laminated, weather-proof tag will be provided as proof of registration – by phoning either 741528 or 740186. At present there will be no charge though the committee reserve the right to introduce a small fee at a subsequent date. Space is strictly limited so it will be a first come, first served arrangement. Unregistered trailers will be removed from the trailer area and disposed of somewhere very inconvenient…

The car park is a resource for the whole village, and its visitors, not a dumping ground. Car parking spaces, perhaps unlike unregistered boat trailers, don’t grow on trees.
